Finally, a notorious fraudster who is fond of using taxi to defraud others has been arrested by police detectives from the State Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, of the Lagos State police command.
Parading the suspects (Ademola) to journalists at the command headquarters, Ikeja, yesterday, the new state police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmus, said the suspect pretends to be a witch doctor, assuring a woman of delivering her from the influence of a spiritual husband on her marital life. The woman as well as her mother unfortunately fell into the trap. As a result, they parted with a sum of N7.9m. He said he picked Dayo and her mother, Mrs Akinwale (Victim)at Iyana -Ipaja at 11.30pm on November 2014 and has severally been duping them.
The victim had also been harrased sexually by the suspect Ifatade Ademola, when he deceived her to swim in a pool of water to wash away bad spirits from her. Ademola met her where she was naked and attempted to rape her. Ademola further confessed owing a shrine used in deceiving his victims.
He also brought a house help which he also promised to do spiritual work on so that they would know whether she is a good person or not.
