The scene of the accident that claimed five lives at Mowe, Lagos -Ibadam Expressway…yesterday.
An accident occurred at the “Eldorado” axis of Ayetoro village in the Mowe corridor of the expressway, Obafemi Owode Local Government Council of Ogun state which involved a DAF truck with (OYO) GNN 774 XA registration number and a white Mazda passenger bus marked (LAGOS) APP 36 XA. Five people have already been confirmed dead, as 13 others were said to be critically injured in the accident.
This occurred yesterday afternoon along the ever-busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway. The accident was caused by the white Mazda passenger bus travelling outward Lagos on top speed, which lost control and rammed into the stationary DAF truck.
An eyewitness told newsmen that a nursing mother and two of her children were among the five persons confirmed dead in the auto crash, which happened around 1: 20 p.m and eventually resulted in a heavy traffic gridlock along the expressway.
