Donald Trump and Angela Merkel were involved in a hugely awkward exchange as the pair met at the White House.
At a photo call with the two world leaders, photographers asked the pair to shake hands.
But it appeared Mr Trump either did not hear the request or chose to ignore it - despite Ms Merkel asking him if he would like to.
In video footage of the exchange, she can be seen pulling a face, clearly assuming she has been ignored.
