Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person's thoughts, behavior, feelings and sense of well-being.
People with a depressed mood can feel sad, anxious, empty, hopeless, helpless, worthless, guilty, irritable, angry, ashamed or restless. They may lose interest in activities that were once pleasurable, experience loss of appetite or overeating, have problems concentrating, remembering details or making decisions, experience relationship difficulties and may contemplate, attempt or commit suicide. Insomnia, excessive sleeping, fatigue, aches, pains, digestive problems or reduced energy may also be present (wikipedia)
Severe depression can destroy lives, and it’s for this reason that we must all be on our guard to catch the blues and deal with our problems head-on, when they first surface. What you can do before the situation gets out of hand is to make use of some of mother nature’s own spices that themselves work like wonder drugs. One such is turmeric, a marvelous spice that can aid in the fight against many different diseases such as: skin cancer, stomach disorders, arthritis, diarrhea, liver disorders, and jaundice.
According to research, turmeric contains the ingredient curcumin, which has the same anti-depressant effects as Prozac’s chief ingredient fluoxetine, but turmeric does not cause any side-effects.
