A young lady (22yrs) named Kristina Medvedeva who used dating websites, was seen already dead with her head almost cut off from her body according to police. She was found beside a lake after going on a first date with a stranger in Russia. Officers said there was no evidence that she had been raped.
She was last seen online three days before the incidence. The find was made three days after Kristina was last seen and last online. However, police have not said whether they have been able to track the man Kristina was with on the day of her death from her Internet history.
Her tragic death was being highlighted by the Russian media today as evidence of concern over the lack of security for women using dating websites.
