Pubs will stay open late to mark Queen's 90th birthday

The Queen will be celebrating her birthday in style

Celebrations across Great Britain will mark Queen Elizabeth II's official birthday in June.
Pubs across the UK will stay open longer to mark the Queen's official 90th birthday,David Cameron has announced.
Opening hours will be extended in celebration of the milestone on June 10 and 11.
Other festivities will be held on her official birthday on June 11, with more celebrations to mark her actual birth on April 21, 1926.

The Prime Minister announced the news during PMQs today, telling MPs: "We will be extending pub opening hours on the 10th and 11th of June to mark Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday.

"I'm sure that will be welcomed right across the House."


Good news - the pubs will be staying open longer

That weekend will see a series of events including a street party in The Mall, a service at St Paul's Cathedral and the Trooping the Colour ceremony, also known as the Queen's Birthday Parade, at Horse Guards Parade.
