Daily Trust on Wednesday found out that an SS1 female student, Ummu-Salam Umar of the Federal Government Girls College, Malali, Kaduna state murdered her own new born baby and attempted to through her body over the school fence, but the corpse got caught on the fence by the female hostel.
DSP Zubairu Abubakar, the Police spokesperson said, "at about 1.15pm, the Vice Principal of FGGC, Malali, Mrs. Obianwuzia reported at the station that the corpse of a new born baby suspected to have been delivered by a student wrapped in a white cloth was thrown over the school fence. He confirmed the incident and the arrest of the culprit one.
"The corpse of the baby was left dangling on the school fence until the police came and removed it. After taking picture of the scene, it has been deposited at the mortuary."
Large crowd gathered at the crime scene but the corpse had been taken away by the police.
He however noted that investigation has commenced into the matter.
